How do I book a vehicle for rental?

Let us know which van you want to hire by getting in touch, or request a vehicle using the “Prices & Booking” button above. The duration of a hire is described by day, which covers a 24-hour period. Rates are customised to duration of hire, so your daily rate will lower the longer you wish to rent a vehicle. We’ll confirm the booking by email.

Can I have the vehicle delivered to me?

Yes, we can bring your hired car, van or truck directly to you or pick you up and bring you to one of our branches, within a 5-mile radius. This is subject to branch.

Are there extra add-ons available?
Yes, we can also offer secure straps and Sack Trollies available for rental at rates customised to your hire. And on our Mammoths you can additionally rent Load Bars. This is subject to branch, give us a call on 0800 6 341 341.
Do you have tow bars or roof racks available?

Unfortunately, we do not have these available for rental, but our 3.5t Box Vans (Mammoth) include automatic tail lifts to assist moving heavy loads.

Are there any restrictions for renters?

Due to our insurance policy, our vehicles can only be driven by those who are at least 25 years of age and must have held his or her licence for a minimum of two years, with no more than 6 points. Persons between the ages of 23-25 or over 70 will have to pay an insurance premium in addition subject to insurance approval. What do I need to bring with me?

You will need to bring your UK licence or international licence (if applicable). In addition to your licence you will need two forms of ID dated within the last three months (acceptable forms of ID: passport, council tax bill, utility bill), as well as your form of payment). What methods of payment do you accept?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment by cash or AMEX.

We accept payment by credit or debit cards under Mastercard, Visa, Switch and Maestro. Our Long Term Hire customers can benefit from paying by invoice.

Will I need to pay a deposit?

When you place your booking online we require a deposit of £250 to hold the booking, however this will not be charged to you once the booking is complete. A pre-authorisation holding charge will appear on your card at an amount of £250, a charge which will not be processed once the vehicle is returned (without damage). As with any pre-authorisation, these funds may not be accessible until after your rental has been returned.

What is your Best Price Guarantee?

Our prices always reflect current market conditions for our locations, and like any market are subject to change. Should you find a price locally that is better than ours for a similar vehicle in make/model/year (that is not a one-time or otherwise special offer), we will be happy to match it for you.

Are long-term rentals available?

Yes, we can provide flexible rentals over a long term of 28 days or more, for which you will benefit from lower rates as well as regular service and maintenance without the hassle of financing. We can also assist you with fleet rental if you need multiple vehicles.

Are there any restrictions for mileage?
With your vehicle rental you will receive 480 miles per week. For long-term hires of a month or more, you will benefit from an allotment of miles free of charge and a low rate charge per mile beyond the allotment. Find out more from our long-term hire specialists.
Can I have more than one driver for my van rental?

You are certainly welcome to have additional drivers on your vehicle hire at a charge per driver. Please ensure that any additional drivers also follow our renter criteria (as described above and in our Terms & Conditions) Contact branch for more details.

What if I am planning to drive in London?
Any vehicle that drives into certain zones of London are subject to a congestion charge at £15 per day Monday – Sunday from 07.00 – 22.00) per week day (Monday through Friday). If you plan to drive through London, be sure to arrange paying in advance or on the day of travel. Pay in advance and learn more about congestion charging on the Transport For London website. If the congestion charge is not paid on the day of travel, we will make an additional charge to you with an admin processing fee.
What happens if there are any other penalty charges or damages to the vehicle?
We will follow up with you after the hire to coordinate payment for any further charges, which may also be subject to an admin processing fee.
What should I do if I need to cancel a booking?
Should you find you no longer need your vehicle hire, please let us know as soon as possible. We require a minimum 48 hours’ notice prior to the booking to cancel without incurring any charge, and if we do not receive notice prior to that time, we will unfortunately have to charge for the full cost of the hire.
Why do some of the prices advertised not match the quotes given from your search toolbar?
There are a few factors that affect the price of a rental, such as the vehicle size required, the duration of hire, and VAT. Our prices reflect current market conditions and are subject to change, however, we strive to ensure all advertised prices are as accurate as possible. Our search results incorporate these details and will give you the full cost of the hire so that there are no surprises when you complete your booking with us.
What’s with the “vanimals”?

We use a herd of animals to help describe the sizes of our vehicles, from a Squirrel for small vans to a Mammoth 3.5 Box with tail lift. We know these striking designs are different from other vehicle rental companies, and we believe your rental experience with us will also be completely unique.

How many miles do I get with my hire?

100 miles per day is included in your 24hr rental. Any additional mileage will be charged at 15p per mile plus VAT (subject to branch).

How much fuel should I bring the van back with?

Vans should be returned with the same level of fuel as it was collected with.
