Is long-term van hire available?
Yes, we can provide flexible van rentals over a long term of 28 days or more, for which you will benefit from lower rates as well as regular service and maintenance without the hassle of financing. What do I need to bring with me for my van hire?
You will need to bring your UK licence or an international licence (if applicable) in order to hire a van from Herd Hire. In addition to your licence you will need two forms of ID dated within the last three months (acceptable forms of ID: passport, council tax bill, utility bill), as well as your form of payment). We also require a DVLA licence check code which can be obtained by going to www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
Can I have more than one driver for my van rental
You are certainly welcome to have additional drivers on your vehicle hire at a one-time charge per driver. For van hires of 2 weeks or longer, additional drivers are free of charge. Please ensure that any additional drivers also follow our van renter criteria (as described above and in our Terms & Conditions)
Are there any restrictions for van hire in Dorking?
Due to our insurance policy, our van rentals can only be driven by those who are at least 25 years of age and must have held his or her licence for a minimum of two years, with no more than 6 points. Persons between the ages of 23-25 will have to pay a young persons insurance premium in addition subject to insurance approval. Some of the larger trucks may require a more experienced driver or class of licence, contact one of our branches to learn more. Full details of our Terms and Conditions can be found here.
Can I have the vehicle delivered to me?
Yes, we can bring your hired car, van or truck directly to you or pick you up and bring you to one of our branches, within a 5-mile radius. For hires of a week or more, this service is free!
How do I book van rental in Dorking?

The duration of a van hire is described by day, which covers a 24-hour period. Rates are customised to the duration of hire, so your daily rate will be lower the longer you wish to rent a vehicle.
